About the artwork:
I have always been fascinated by the changes occurring within the Psyche. My art is an outcome of focusing my awareness into the sensation evolving within my body. The focus into the body sensations reveals movement of energy and emotion which is abstract and universal. I experience the inner stir as energy having a certain color and type of movement. In my art it is translated directly through brush strokes and transparent color layers onto the canvas.
The selection of diluted acrylic paint on canvas serves my need to experience fluidity, movement and change. Just as in life one does not have full control of himself and his environment, so on my canvas life reveals itself as the painting develops. I am committed to being as aware as possible to the changes occurring within myself, thus the painting is totally linked to the experience of the present moment. Each painting has its own route of development, and is never planned or decided upon in advance.

About the Artist:
Profile:Dorith Teichman is an Israeli painter whose artwork is characterized by movement and transformation. An exceptional life story of living for several years in the Far East followed by studies of depth psychology brought Dorith's art to an abstraction combining the introspection of eastern philosophy and the inner dialogue of Jungian psychology.
