About the Artist:
Born in Iran in 1980, Elham Rokni has immigrated to Israel at the age of 9. Today she lives
and works in Tel-Aviv. She is a graduate of Bezalel Academy's BFA (2007) and MFA
(2010) programs.
Rokni's artistic production employs video installations and drawings to engage with
general questions of memory and emotions, mainly through extream daily situations and
her personal history as an immigrant.
Her work explores an intricate, multifaceted reality, challenging the boundaries of the
existing orders, physicals as well as political.
