About the artwork: This piece is part of the project "Side Walks"; the second series by Mettookonet exploring moments down the streets of New York City. New York City is a sanctuary for human beings. Walking down its streets is always a fascinating experience of observing the moments that belong to others. By doing that I go out of my mind and into the holistic view on our specie. I feel there is a lot of compassion in that action.
About the artist: Mettookonet is the pen(cil) name of Gefen Lamdan, an Israeli, New York based artist, who has been capturing life in the city through her black and white drawings for years.
